Number of new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Europe from January 25 to June 2, 2020, by date of report

As of June 2, 2020, there have been 2,140,396 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) across the whole of Europe since the first confirmed cases in France on January 25. April 4, saw the highest number of new cases in Europe, with over 40 thousand new cases on this day alone. There were approximately 25 thousand new cases on June 2. Russia has the highest amount of confirmed cases in Europe with 423,741, followed by the United Kingdom with 276,332 cases. A full breakdown of the confirmed cases in Europe can be found here.

Across the whole of Europe, the coronavirus has so far been responsible for 173,454 confirmed deaths as of May 24, with 36,675 of the deaths occurring in the United Kingdom. More statistics and facts about the virus are available here.
